How to Request a Booking
- Find an item you want to rent by browsing or searching
- Click on the item to view full details
- Check the availability calendar and pricing
- Select your desired rental dates
- Review the total cost including service fees
- Click "Request to Book" to send your request
- Wait for the owner to respond (typically within 24 hours)
- Once approved, you'll receive a confirmation and can arrange pickup

Messaging Item Owners
Good communication is key to successful rentals. Here's how to message effectively:
Starting a Conversation
- Click "Message Owner" on any item page
- Introduce yourself briefly
- Ask specific questions about the item
- Mention your intended use and rental dates
Best Practices
- Be polite and professional
- Respond promptly to messages
- Keep all communication on the platform
- Confirm pickup/return details in writing
- Ask about any special care instructions
Cancellation Policies
Renter Cancellations
- More than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund minus service fee
- 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% refund
- Less than 24 hours before pickup: No refund
Owner Cancellations
If an owner cancels a confirmed booking, the renter receives a full refund and the owner may face penalties:
- First cancellation: Warning
- Second cancellation: Temporary listing suspension
- Multiple cancellations: Account review
Emergency Cancellations: In case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances, contact support immediately.
Pickup and Return Process
Pickup
- Confirm the exact pickup location and time with the owner
- Arrive on time (or notify the owner if you'll be late)
- Inspect the item thoroughly before taking it
- Take photos of the item's condition
- Ask the owner to demonstrate how to use the item if needed
- Confirm the return date, time, and location
Return
- Clean the item before returning it
- Return the item on time to the agreed location
- Return all accessories and parts that came with the item
- Allow the owner to inspect the item
- Get confirmation that the return is complete
- Leave a review for the owner
Late Returns: Late fees may apply if you don't return the item on time. Contact the owner immediately if you need an extension.
